Our Website is a window into our common life and witness to the gospel of Christ. It will give you a taste of the richness and diversity of our people, whilst presenting the many opportunities for mission and ministry in this beautiful part of God’s vineyard.

The year 2010 is now upon us and with its start has come a new vitally and enthusiasm to press forward with the mission and ministry of the Church. As we make the theme of ‘Stewardship’ one by which we undertake our various responsibilities, we are already seeing the impact of this on the lives of our people. We believe this holds the promise of a renewed Church.

In the Diocese of Belize we are also making this year the “Year of the Family”. A conscious and deliberate effort will be made to give our focus on the well-being of families the highest priority it rightly deserves. We aim to ensure that our various activities, as a community of faith, are geared toward encouraging families to worship and fellowship together. It is envisioned that our historic Cathedral Church of St John the Baptist in Belize City will take the lead in promoting this new thrust by offering a family-friendly worship experience especially on Sundays, coupled with expanding outreach efforts aimed at reaching families in need. For the relatively young country of Belize, with an equally young population, this is a critically important area deserving of our best efforts. Our one High School, twenty-one Primary (Elementary) Schools, and three Pre-schools provide the Church with the wonderful opportunity of reaching thousands of homes. We invite you to join us in this exciting journey filled with challenges and, more importantly, opportunities to make a significant difference in the lives of many people – indeed the life of an entire country. Your support of our work will go a long way in helping us achieve what we believe God has called us to do.
